Dear Classmates:
It’s that time of year again, when I am pleased to invite you to join your classmates, their spouses and friends for a weekend of fun and good times on the sunny, warm coast of southwest Florida, scheduled for March 17-20, 2024 in Naples, Florida.
We had a great time getting together last year as we were joined by a number of our friends from the class of 1972. The news spread and the class of 1970 are organizing an event to coincide with ours this year. Joe Davis ’72, Mark Heller ’70 and I are working on where it makes sense to coordinate our activities. For now, they will be joining us for our May 19 reception and dinner at Hamilton Harbor Yacht Club.
Our traditional slate of activities includes golf, fishing and cruising on the Island Dreamer. But the Naples area offers many other possibilities. Some of you may want to visit the Naples Botanical Garden. Others may want to hike in the National Audubon Society’s Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary or The Fakahatchee Strand. The Revs Institute is home to the Miles Collier Collection of over 100 significant automobiles built between 1896 and 1995. Or perhaps you would like to play pickle ball or tennis or just spend some time on Naples Fifth Avenue. We want to tailor the event to suit the interests of all classmates. Let me know of your interests, and I will organize accordingly.
Winter residents of southwest Florida, Tony and Julie Fitzpatrick and Jerry and Marguerite O’Brien are pleased to host some of the activities that we will enjoy during our time together. I would like to thank them all for their generous contributions to the Class of 1971, during our mini-reunion in Naples and throughout the year.
